🔌 Connect Klaviyo to use reorder links in your own flows

Connect Klaviyo and Easy Reorder adds each customer's personal reorder link to their Klaviyo profile, ready for your emails, SMS and flows.

Written by Miles

Already send your email and SMS from Klaviyo? Connect it to Easy Reorder and each customer's personal reorder link lands on their Klaviyo profile, in a property called ER Reorder Link. Use it in any Klaviyo email, SMS or flow to send customers straight to their reorder page, already signed in.

📦 What Easy Reorder sends to Klaviyo

One property on each customer's profile:

  • ER Reorder Link: the customer's personal reorder link, which opens your reorder page with them already signed in. It already contains their email and zip, so you don't need to build the link yourself.

A few things to know:

  • Customers on a subscription (from your subscription app) get no link. Your subscription app handles their reminders.

  • Easy Reorder doesn't change anyone's email or SMS subscription status in Klaviyo. It only adds or updates this property.

  • Easy Reorder updates your profiles once a day.

On the Integrations page, the Klaviyo card sums it up: Easy Reorder adds each customer's reorder link to their Klaviyo profile as 'ER Reorder Link', so your Klaviyo emails and flows can send them straight to their reorder page.

🔌 Connect Klaviyo

  1. In Klaviyo, go to Settings → API keys and choose Create private API key.

  2. Give the key these permissions: Accounts: Read, Profiles: Write and Events: Write.

  3. Copy the key. It starts with pk_.

  4. In Easy Reorder, go to Integrations. In the Klaviyo card, paste the key into Klaviyo private API key, then click Connect Klaviyo.

Easy Reorder tests the key first. If Klaviyo accepts it, the card shows Connected and your key is stored securely (the card only ever shows the end of it). If it doesn't look like a Klaviyo private key you'll see "That doesn't look like a Klaviyo private API key. It starts with pk_."

Once connected, you have three buttons:

  • Test connection: checks that Klaviyo still accepts your key. A green message says "Klaviyo accepted the key."

  • Sync now: sends the links straight away instead of waiting for the daily update. Afterwards the card shows when it last synced and how many profiles were updated.

  • Disconnect: stops future syncs. What was already sent stays in your Klaviyo account.

If Klaviyo ever rejects the key (for example, because you deleted or replaced it), the card says "Your Klaviyo key needs to be entered again." Create a new key and connect again.

🔁 Use the link in Klaviyo

Put the link in the button of any Klaviyo email or flow:

  1. In Klaviyo, open the email (or SMS) you want to send. For example, a flow that starts a number of days after a customer's order.

  2. Add a button.

  3. For the button's link, use the profile property: {{ person|lookup:'ER Reorder Link' }}

  4. Send a test to yourself from a profile that has the property, and click the button to make sure it opens the reorder page.

You can also build a Klaviyo segment from the property, for example "ER Reorder Link is set", to reach customers who have a link.

⚠️ Avoid sending two reminders

Easy Reorder sends its own reorder emails too. If your Klaviyo flow is meant to replace them, go to Emails → Overview and switch off Send reorder emails so customers don't get both. If you'd rather keep both, make sure the timing is different, or send only one of them to a given customer.

❓ Common questions

A customer doesn't have a link in Klaviyo. Customers with a subscription get none. Otherwise, press Sync now or wait for the daily update, and check that the customer's email address matches the profile in Klaviyo.

Does Easy Reorder send reorder dates to Klaviyo? No. It sends the reorder link only.

Does Easy Reorder email my customers through Klaviyo? No. Easy Reorder only gives Klaviyo the reorder link. What gets sent, and to whom, is up to you in Klaviyo.

How do I stop sending data to Klaviyo? Go to Integrations → Klaviyo and click Disconnect. You can also delete the key in Klaviyo.
