📬 The weekly recap email

Every week Easy Reorder emails you how your reorders did. What's in it, when it arrives, who gets it and how to turn it off.

Written by Miles

Once a week, Easy Reorder emails you a short recap of how your reorders did. It's the quick answer to "is this working?" without opening the app. This article covers what's in it, when it arrives, who gets it and how to turn it off.

📬 What's in the recap

Every recap covers the previous Monday to Sunday and compares it with the week before. What you see depends on how your week went.

A good week: reorders came through Easy Reorder

  • A big number: the revenue that came through Easy Reorder, with how many reorders and returning customers that was, and how it compares with last week.

  • This week at a glance: all reorder revenue, repeat customers, reminder emails (how many went out, the share opened and the orders they led to) and how many customers are due to reorder next week.

  • Where reorders came from: how many reorders and how much revenue each source brought in.

    • Reminder emails

    • Reorder page & widgets

    • Floating button

    • Thank you picks, shown only when customers picked a date that week

    • On their own

  • Most reordered: your top three products that week.

Customers reordered, but none through Easy Reorder yet

You still get your repeat-order revenue and returning customers, plus a short note that none of it came through Easy Reorder yet. Under Three quick wins you'll see up to three things still to set up, such as turning on reminder emails, switching on the Easy Reorder app embed, showing the floating button or adding the Thank you page widget. Only things you haven't done appear. The most reordered products are there too.

No orders at all that week

The recap says "No reorder data yet" and shows a Setup checklist so you can see what's still missing.

🕖 When it arrives

The recap sends once a week at 7:00 in your store's time zone, on the day you choose. Monday is the default. It always covers the Monday to Sunday week before.

👤 Who gets it

The store owner, at the email address Shopify has for your store. To send it somewhere else, enter an address in Send to. Leave Send to empty to use the store owner's email. Replies to the recap come to us, so if you have a question you can reply to the email.

⚙️ Change the settings

  1. In the Easy Reorder menu, click Settings, then open the Notifications tab.

  2. Send the weekly recap email is on by default. Untick it to stop the recap.

  3. Under Send to, enter another address if you want one. Leave it empty to use the store owner's email.

  4. Pick the Day (Monday to Sunday).

  5. Save your changes with the save bar that appears at the top.

👀 Preview it first

On the same tab:

  • Click Send me a preview now to get the recap by email straight away. The subject starts with "Preview:". It goes to the address in Send to, or to the store owner's email if that's empty. You can send a few previews an hour.

  • Click Preview to open the recap in a new browser tab.

A preview covers the most recent full week (Monday to Sunday). It doesn't count as that week's recap, so your normal one still arrives on your chosen day.

🛑 Stopping the recap

Two ways:

  • Untick Send the weekly recap email in Settings → Notifications.

  • Click Unsubscribe from weekly recaps at the bottom of any recap. It turns the recap off at once. The page it opens has a button, Turn weekly recaps back on, if you change your mind.

The recap also links to Notification settings, which takes you straight to the tab above.

💡 Pro Tip

If you see Three quick wins in your recap, start with the first one. They're listed in order of how much they're likely to help. Then watch the next recap. A source that moves from zero to a few reorders tells you the change is working.

Want to dig into the numbers? Your Easy Reorder dashboard and Analytics: reorder behavior, customers and products show the same figures for any dates you pick.
