Not every product needs the same reminder schedule. A protein powder might need a reminder every 30 days, while a vitamin supplement might be every 90. Easy Reorder lets you set reminder timing per product so each one runs on its own schedule.
🛠️ Where to set product timing
In the Easy Reorder app, click Products in the sidebar
Find the product you want to configure (or use search)
You'll see colored bubbles next to each product showing the reminder day count for each active email sequence (E1, E2, E3, etc.)
Click on a bubble to edit the day count — for example, change E1 from 30 days to 45 days
Toggle the product on or off using the enable switch
That's it. The new timing applies to all future orders of that product.
🎯 Variant-level overrides
If different variants of the same product have different reorder intervals (e.g., a 30-day supply vs. a 90-day supply), you can set different reminder timing per variant.
Click into the product detail page
You'll see each variant listed
Set the reminder day count individually per variant
Save your changes
Variant overrides take precedence over the product-level setting.
🚦 Enabling and disabling reminders
Each product has its own enable toggle. You can turn reminders off for specific products without affecting the rest of your store.
Common reasons to disable reminders for a product:
It's a one-time purchase (a gift card, a bundle, a starter kit)
It's no longer being sold (use substitutions instead to point customers to a replacement)
You're running A/B tests and want a control group
💡 Pro Tip: pick the right interval
The best reminder timing depends on the product. A few guidelines:
Consumables (food, beverages, supplements) → 70-90% of the average use cycle. If a product lasts 30 days, set the reminder for day 20-25.
Refills (toner, water filters, contact lenses) → close to the typical refill cycle
Replenishment goods (cleaning supplies, household) → between 30-60 days for most
Watch your conversion rates over the first few weeks and adjust if needed.
📊 How to know if your intervals are working
Check the Reminders overview in your dashboard. If you see lots of emails sent but few conversions, your intervals might be too early or too late. The Analytics tab gives you more detail on conversion windows.
