⏰ The "remind me later" snooze link

How the snooze link lets customers push their reminders back 7, 14 or 30 days without unsubscribing, and how to customize it.

Written by Miles

Your reminder emails include a "snooze" option. This gives your customers a low-friction way to delay a reminder without unsubscribing or asking to be removed from your emails entirely.

It's automatic. You don't need to set anything up.

✨ What customers see

Near the bottom of each reminder email, there's a small line like:

Not ready? Snooze for: 7 days · 14 days · 30 days

When the customer clicks one, their upcoming reminders are moved to that many days from now. No login required, no form to fill out. One click and they're done.

They land on a short confirmation page that says "You're all set!" and "We'll remind you in 30 days instead." (or 7 or 14), with a Reorder now button in case they change their mind.

🛠️ Do I need to configure this?

No. The snooze links are a block in your email template, and the default emails already include it.

If you've removed the Snooze block from your email layout in the editor, you can add it back: open the email (Emails → Sequence → Edit), click + Add block and choose Snooze.

🎨 Customizing the snooze block

You can edit the look and copy of the snooze link in the email editor:

  • Change the Title (e.g., "Not ready to order? Snooze for:")

  • Adjust the Color, Font size, Background and alignment

  • Move it up or down by dragging the block

The three choices are always 7, 14 and 30 days.

Just click the Snooze block in your email design and customize the options.

🔒 Are snooze links secure?

Yes. Each snooze link is a signed URL tied to that one customer. It can only snooze that customer's own reminders, and it can't be changed to affect anyone else. The link can't be guessed.

Snooze links also expire 60 days after the email is sent. After that, clicking one shows "This link has expired." The customer can still use the reorder button in the email, or your reorder page.

💡 Why include a snooze link?

It might seem counterintuitive to give customers an easy way to delay your emails. But here's why it works:

  • 😊 Better experience: customers appreciate the control

  • 📈 Higher engagement: customers who snooze stay engaged longer than customers who unsubscribe

  • 🚫 Fewer unsubscribes: snooze is a softer alternative to opting out entirely

  • 🎯 More accurate timing: a snooze tells you the customer isn't ready, and you can adjust your reminder days on the Products page if lots of customers do it

⚠️ Note

Snoozing moves the customer's upcoming reminders later. It doesn't turn reminders off. If a customer wants to stop receiving emails altogether, they can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Snooze links only work in real reminder emails. In a test email, they won't.
