🙈 Choose which products show on your reorder page

Hide products from the reorder page by tag or stock status, and choose the sort order.

Written by Miles

Not every product belongs on the reorder page. Maybe it's a one-time purchase, a seasonal item, or something you've stopped selling. Easy Reorder lets you control what customers see without removing anything from your store.

🏷️ Hide products by tag

The easiest way to hide products is with product tags.

  • In your Shopify admin, add a tag to any product you want excluded (e.g., no-reorder, seasonal, gift-only)

  • In the Easy Reorder app, go to Emails → Settings and find "Sending rules"

  • Type the tag in "Excluded product tags" and press Enter. Add as many as you like

  • Save your changes

A product with any of these tags is hidden from the reorder page, and it also won't be included in reminder emails. The tag has to match exactly, including capital letters.

📦 Hide out-of-stock items

You probably don't want to show products customers can't actually buy. Go to Settings → Product list. Two checkboxes handle this:

  • Hide out-of-stock products — hides products that are out of stock

  • Hide out-of-stock variants — keeps the product visible but hides the variants that are unavailable

Turn these on for a cleaner reorder experience.

🔢 Choose a sort order

On the same Settings → Product list tab, "Sort products by" decides the order of the products on the page:

  • Recent items (default)

  • Best sellers

  • Price: high to low

  • Price: low to high

Most stores stick with "Recent items" because it's the most relevant.

🗃️ What never shows

Archived and draft products don't appear on the reorder page. If a customer bought a product you've since discontinued, you can show a replacement instead. See Substitute discontinued products with replacements.

💡 Pro Tip

Use tags for one-off exclusions (a specific gift card or trial product). Both the tag and the out-of-stock settings work together, so you can use them side by side.
